What has 2008 Brought

So today the geek is late sorry.
OK so I am thinking about my top film list for 2008 and that has led me to muse on what 2008 has brought me.
It has been a great year for me. I have changed jobs, I got engaged to my partner. I was nominated for the Aurealis Awards. Didn't make finalist. I started this Blog in February and I have to say that it has been one of the coolest things that I managed to do this year.
I managed to do the serial on this site and I am proud of that. (Not that many comments on the blog. I see that I have a regular audience so I know your out there.)
I started my novel again (sigh)
I started buying Lego again (Shut up it's cool really).
And I Celebrated the third anniversary with my amazing partner and my son turned four.
So I am judging this year as a good one.
There are many more things that I am thankful for but the main thing I have to say is that if you can come out of a year having achieved something of merit then you are ahead of the curve.
So to all who have joined me on my journey over the last ten months, I have to say thank you and all the best to you and your family.

Future Noir - Paul M Sammon This is one of the Best books I have read on the making of a movie. It may have been released a few years ago but the updated version was released this year to coincide with the release of the ultimate edition. This is an incredibly researched and detailed a masterpiece.

Game of the Year
Star Wars - Force Unleashed and D & D 4th Edition It is a tie I cannot decide what game desrves the crown so I am giving it to both of them.
