Pete had a very hard time transitioning back into school after being gone for three school days and the weekend. He was disconnected and reverted to reciting his scripts loudly.
Pete and I discussed what a transition means and how it is hard to come back after a break. We also talked about what he did while he was not at school.
He had a few outbursts which minimally interrupted class. Today, we talked and set the stage for classwork tomorrow. Pete really needed to easy into the classroom setting.
When I dismissed Pete for lunch he came back! Pete does want to stay connected.
I know tomorrow will be better.
