Oh RuPaul How You Make Me Wait!

Oh RuPaul, how you make me wait! I have been waiting impatiently for a week to know who is going to sashay away as RuPaul’s Drag Show nears the final days! Finally, it aired! This week, according to the website RuPaul Drag Show, “The final four queens hit the red carpet and pull out all the stops as they create looks for three separate divalicious award shows” The guest judges were Hairspray’s Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur and Academy Award winner Tatum O'Neal. How does Ru get these people?
Like all fierce competitions in the final days the mood was intense. The queens had a mini challenge of dressing up in the same sleek black dress and creating a hot look without sewing or gluing. Who knew gluing was a trade secret? Trya Sanchez won that challenge with a simple look and a beaded clutch bag.
The queens had to deliver three different looks and the heat was really on. Ru spoke to each drag queen as they created their dresses: a Teen Look, a Washington D.C. look and a Red Carpet look. RuPaul did not mince his words this week. He told each queen they had to “bring it” and particularly told Tatiana that if she had a trick to pull it out.
While the small group of four was working, Raven asked each contestant who would be in the final four. Can you say intimidation? Raven started by stating her opinion, which excluded Tatiana. Ouch! Tyra Sanchez agreed Tatiana was “going down” and so did Jujubee! This has to be the worst psychological poly to destroy the enemy. Tatiana replied coolly, that she was going to be in the final three and did not know who else would be joining her.
The queens had to lip-sync and dance in an opening number together holding the letters D-I-V-A, funny. The runway walk was next -the queens had to show off their three looks. Ru told the final four that charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent was the criteria as he prepared someone to be eliminated. Tyra and Raven knocked it out the park, they were safe. Jujubee was good but her last Red Carpet dress was too costumed. Ru tried to warn Tatiana but she did not listen and the judges did not like her too short, poufy midriff Red Carpet dress. “To short and not classy,” said one of the judges.
It was time to lip-sync for your life and Tatiana did not know the words to Aretha Franklin’s Something He Can Feel. Of course Juju one of the best lip-syncers ever won and Tatiana had to Sashay Away.
Now, it is down to three very competitive queens: dynamic Jujubee, classy Tyra Sanchez and versatile Raven. Who will it be…?
